No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars
These are extremely easy to make at home and a little bit cheaper if you're going on an extended trip. The flavor is amazing, and you can't beat homemade. These make a great on the go breakfast or can also be eaten as a snack or lunch. Maybe even dessert.
At home: Combine the peanut butter, butter, and milk in a medium saucepan and warm over low heat. Stir constantly until mixed thoroughly. Remove from heat and add in the oatmeal and protein. At this time you can also add any optional items. Press into a 9×9 inch ungreased pan and let cool. Cut into bars and store in plastic baggies. Refrigerate over night to harden
Makes 16 (2×2 inch) bars
Customize by adding dried fruit, nuts, coconut, seeds, flax, or wheat germ.
